Our theory for this project: Music is a drug. MIAD is a compilation of SOMIA's artists from around the world. We have put them together to create a full range of sounds and styles of music taking the listener on a journey to please every personality. MIAD is also a preview of Somia’s upcoming releases, including special guest appearances from our friends Otto Von Schirach, Phoenecia, and Xanopticon… With MIAD, we try to reach a full spectrum of listeners.  What it all comes down to is good music and how it makes you feel when you hear it.  It’s such a good feeling to play your favorite track… it can be like an adrenaline rush… or it can be something that just makes you feel good and forget whatever other problems you have in your life.  We hope you enjoy it.

SUBJEX - KARMA KERMESS

SUBJEX returns with this hot little 12” to bring the new year in with style.  Hailing from Lille, France, SUBJEX offers up four solid tracks of what might be best described as ‘funky electro’.  KARMA KERMESS is full of nice little dancefloor anthems to keep those booties bouncing.  Beautiful bass lines and sonic tweaks are prevalent throughout. KARMA KERMESS is a project that has been in the works for a few years now, ever since we first began working with SUBJEX on the MIAD compilation.  Since then SUBJEX has worked with the likes of Planet-Mu and Schematic.  In 2007, he plans to release his first major full album of new material.  One of the founders of the Bedroom Research Collective in Europe, he is quite prolific and hard working, touring the EU and US regularly.

CLAPAN - 21st CENTURY LULLABY

CLAPAN is a new and innovative audio artist hailing from Krasnodar, Russia.  When we first listened to his music here at Somia back in 2000, we were blown away. CLAPAN's  21st Century Lullaby is an album full of beautiful harmonics and intricate electronica music. These tracks have feelings. SOMIA will donate 10% of all net profits derived from this project to The Melissa Institute (www.melissainstitute.org) for the prevention of violence worldwide.

UNDACOVA - RETROSPECT

Anyone who has heard of UNDACOVA may warn you to be prepared for full eardrum destruction and mental psychosis.  From Leige, Belgium, his music has taken on many different disturbed variations over the years.  The album will be a true retrospect of the earlier years of UNDACOVA’s work, created primarily from 1999 to 2005.
