If you've made your way here, you were probably sent by people who know, love and share good music & art... we are a small independent international artist collective based in Miami, Florida [USA]. MARCH 2007
Come to Miami & support our local SUBTROPICS & WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE events. There are no 'official' SOMIA events planned this year but we'll post info on any last minute participations & parties. DJ CEBTRONIXX will be representing SOMIA & the new release (SUBJEX - KARMA KERMESS) with a mix of Miami Bass IDM and Electro at the March 23rd WMC Lunch Breaks party. The party is at PS14 in the heart of downtown Miami.

FEBRUARY 2007
We've been working steadily for the past few weeks to perfect the UNDACOVA - RETROSPECT album, due out in May 2007. Watch out! This one is a bit more destructive & angry than the usual SOMIA output, but well worth a listen if you need help working out some aggression issues. UNDACOVA hails from Leige, Belgium, where he has worked in the dark corners of audio creation for many years. Co-founder of the Entity mp3 label, he has made quite a collection of horrifying trax over the years and kindly let SOMIA sift through the goods to create a full retrospect album project based on earlier works. JANUARY 2007
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! We're ramping up for a year filled with gr8 music and art projects. Make sure you check out the last major SOMIA release for 2006, SUBJEX - KARMA KERMESS, which hit store shelves worldwide on December 26, 2006 (Note that because of worlwide shipping delays, actual availability dates may vary). We have been working with SUBJEX (Lille, France) since 2002, and specifically on this release for a few months now. We are very happy it is finally coming to fruition and expect a nice reception from our listeners. KARMA KERMESS is a funky little 12" to bring the new year in with style. Listen to samples here!

We've re-taken control of our own website! It will be a bit less fancy than the old flash site but we will now be able to keep it up-to-date as we have many releases planned in the next few months. SOMIA is closing down the Dubai [U.A.E.] headquarters as one of our co-founders is moving back to Miami after many years abroad. We hope this means some very productive months ahead.. Welcome home m8! Keep an ear out for the upcoming SUBJEX {Lille, France) & UNDACOVA (Leige, Belgium) releases!

SOMIA is regretfully closing down our London [U.K.] headquarters as one of our co-founders has been transplanted to Dubai [U.A.E.].. Special thanks to all our London m8s for making our time there great. If you haven't heard the CLAPAN - 21st CENTURY LULLABY album, it makes a great holiday gift. It's good music for the soul and 10% of all SOMIA profit's on this release will be donated to The Melissa Institute for the prevention of violence worldwide. Happy Holidays everyone!

SOMIA happily announces the official worldwide release of CLAPAN - 21st CENTURY LULLABY on August 8, 2005. Clapan hails from Krasnodar, Russia and makes beautiful electronica music. Verbal descriptions are insufficient as always, so please listen to samples here!

SOMIA happily announces the official worldwide release of V/A - MIAD on February 21, 2004. MIAD is a compilation of the artists we've been working with over the past few months and years. Each one has something special to offer. Additionally, we've invited our friends Phoenecia [AKA Soul Oddity, Schematic], Otto Von Schirach & Xanopticon to join the project. Our theory on this prject is simple: Music is a Drug. Somia has put these artists together on MIAD to take you on a musical emotional journey. SOMIA will help host & unveil parts of the MIAD EXPERIMENT at the INFILTRATE party this March 22, 2003 @ SOHO Lounge in the Miami Design District. The MIAD project is an experiment in sound and emotion, with contributions from all over the world.

AUGUST 2002
SOMIA MUSIC, INC. incorporates so it can begin planning the MIAD EXPERIMENTS. Actual date of incorporation in Miami-Dade County: 8_08_2002. We got Luke Skywalker's lawyer to do all the paperwork.
